Mlenga Well

As we journey ever closer to Jesus’ death on the cross, we are keenly aware of our sins, but also of the grace and forgiveness given to us by God through Jesus Christ. On March 27th, Easter Sunday, we welcome the Good News of Jesus’ resurrection with shouts of ‘Alleluia! He is risen!’  Once more, we will worship God, and celebrate that death has been defeated by resurrection of Christ our Lord!

Join us the following Sunday, April 3, when St. Peter will celebrate the success of the Mlenga Well project in Tanzania, which was completed in Feb 2016.  Other congregations who were involved in fundraising for this wonderful mission project are also invited to be present.  Regular Sunday worship at St. Peter, Blackberry is at 8:45 am, with the presentation at 10:00 am during Fellowship time.

St. Peter’s is very excited to welcome Stuart Smith, who helped to coordinate the years’ long project, as well as Bishop Marcus Lohrmann of the Northwest Ohio Synod. Many thanks to all who participated in this huge effort to bring fresh water to those in need.  Praise God for blessings bestowed!

#Giving Tuesday

#Giving Tuesday, Tuesday December 2, is a day dedicated to giving back.  In honor of this day, Luther Home of Mercy has set a goal of raising $5,000 in one day.  Contributions can be made online from their website, www.lutherhome.org.  Cash donations are also welcome — checks must be dated December 2 with #Giving Tuesday written in the memo portion.  You are invited to support the work of the Luther Home of Mercy with your gift.
