Do You Hear What I Hear

Did you know that the song “Do You Hear What I Hear?” is more than a Christmas song?

It was written in 1962 during the Cuban missile crisis. The author took the story of Jesus and set it alongside a prayer for peace… and set it to music.

St. Paul writes that faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). Many of us were taught to read the Bible.

I invite you to spend the new year listening to the Bible.

There are lots of options: podcasts that read through the Bible, digital audio Bibles, the Bible on CD. Did you know there is even a recording of Johnny Cash reading the New Testament?

Whatever format you choose, I hope you are blessed in your listening to God’s word.
